I think Steve is still bummed I wouldn't ask El Hedgehog if we could pose with him for a photo. But no no no. Uh-uh.
Very fun concert. Very fun venue. Picnic baskets and bottles of wine. Total coincidence that one of Steve's good friends (and former housemate from Boston) sat right in front of us. I'm going through a pretty big Neko Case phase right now (girl can sing), but c'mon, a chance at seeing Willie? You gotta go. You gotta go.
Lighting the Balloons

The event was a surprise birthday party, and after dinner, everyone went out to the front field to release some neato hot air balloons (powered by candles.) Not sure what happens to them after they've dripped screaming hot wax on unsuspecting wildlife/livestock/neighboring farmhouses, but hopefully no fires will result. I guess we'll find out on the news Sunday morning!
