You would have to be living under a rock not to have heard of Pauly D. Born in Providence, R.I., Paul 'DJ Pauly' DelVecchio is recognised for his musical talent as well as his reality star status on MTV's highest rated show, Jersey Shore, which premiered in December 2009. Quickly a fan favourite, MTV announced Pauly as the first cast member to receive his own spinoff, The Pauly D Project, which chronicles his life as a celebrity DJ.

It's been a meteoritic rise to fame, and in 2010, DJ Pauly released his first single entitled Beat Dat Beat, which quickly climbed the charts, further establishing his place in pop culture. In 2011, Pauly won Choice TV: Male Reality/Variety Star at the Teen Choice Awards after being nominated for the second year in a row. We learn that Keating has quite a bit to say about the entertainment industry when he's not performing on stage or producing new records in a studio...

The music industry is entering a brave new world this year, says Irish performing artist Ronan Keating.

Subscription music websites, the shrinking of traditional media and the rise of social networking sites are just some of the challenges forcing change on the industry, the judge of The X Factor says.

"It looks like that's the way it's going to go and it's scary and it's tough but you have to embrace it," the former Boyzone singer tells news media.

"Record companies made a big mistake [in] not embracing the internet when it first happened," he says.

TV shows such as The X Factor and Australian Idol play and important role in the biz he says.

"I think it's great … when the record companies are struggling and there's not enough money out there to go and discover people," he says.

"If you're an up-and-coming star and you want to do well, then a show like The X Factor is really important."

Keating is now looking to expand his horizons into the movie industry.

"I've gone to a lot of auditions over the year and I've just never been ready and I have never been good enough," he says. "[But] I feel over the last two years, I've grown into my skin and feel comfortable … to prove to people that I can act."

Last year he scored his first acting gig in the musical Goddess, due to be released this year.
Keating is ready for the hard yards ahead of him.

"It's harder for someone, like a singer, to prove they can be an actor because people immediately want to say, 'Oh, he's no good," Keating says. "Someone like Harry Connick jnr has totally established himself as an actor, probably more than a singer … Jon Bon Jovi has made some films along the way and he's done well."

The five Irish lads in Boyzone, who made their debut in 1993, built their charismatic style into one of the biggest European pop/rock acts of the '90s. But before he was winning over the world, Keating was a middle-class kid living in Dublin. Born Ronan Patrick John Keating on March 3, 1977, he was the last of four children in the Keating household. His father, Gerry, was a pub owner and his mother, Marie, was a hairdresser, so financially the Keating family was trying to make ends meet.

The working trudge instilled the desire to work in the youngest Keating. While working in a local shoe store, he noticed a search advertisement for an Irish Take That. The 14-year-old beat out 300 hopefuls with his own rendition of the Cat Stevens song "Father and Son" and was headed toward becoming a celebrity. Boyzone released four albums, every one debuting at number one in the U.K. They released 16 singles, each one charting in the Top Three on the U.K. charts. Most notably, Americans will recognize this five-piece as the dashing young men singing behind U2's Bono in "The Sweetest Thing" video.

Six years into being part of one of the U.K.'s brightest and biggest-selling pop bands, Keating searched for an alternate creative outlet. He began managing another male pop group called Westlife. He married Irish model Yvonne Connelly in April 1998 and the following year they had a son, Jack. Musically, however, Keating's intentions stayed in tune with his internal spirit. He couldn't possibly steer clear of the media spotlight for long and something positive was bound to come of it. He recorded his debut solo effort in early 2000 under the craftsmanship of artists such as Bryan Adams and Barry Gibb. His sensual and childlike persona was full-fledged. He is a working songsmith with the utmost class, and counterparts like Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow might be considered a bit shy of such inborn grace. His rendition of Terence Trent D'Arby's "Let Her Down Easy" and songs co-written with Deacon Blue's Ricky Ross were featured in another mature set from the former boy band singer. 10 Years of Hits followed in 2005, and a year later Keating released the studio album Bring You Home. In 2009 Keating released the heartfelt tribute album Songs for My Mother, which was dedicated to his late mother, Marie, who had passed away from breast cancer in 1998. "The Bel-Air, with its pink villas, palm trees and poolside celebrity-watching opportunities is something special even in Los Angeles.

Ever since it opened in 1946 the Bel-Air has come to embody a particular West Coast ideal. For years it has been the place for movie stars, film producers and those who like to wrap themselves in the glamour of all that is Hollywood. At the same time, though, there is something understated about it. This is a place for families, for privacy, for escape. While the city's more fashionable hotels, such as the Chateau Marmont or the Standard, may attract the latest box-office heroes, the Bel-Air is where people come for a low-key elegance that has almost disappeared elsewhere.

The Bel-Air is spread over 12 acres of tropical vegetation, with dozens of stone and wooden benches scattered throughout as well as fountains and a pond that is home to a family of swans. The buildings are all built in Mission style and none are higher than two stories. Meandering brick paths connect the different areas, so the Bel-Air feels more like a private estate than a hotel.

Each room and suite is decorated differently, and a few longtime guests were allowed to customize their favorite rooms during the renovation, from the fabric to the exact shade of yellow paint used on the walls. What the rooms have in common is that they feel like mini homes or cottages, many with sitting areas, wood-burning fireplaces, French doors separating rooms and tiled patios that overlook the gardens. Many rooms have parquet and brick-inlaid floor, striped couches, two marble baths and a spacious dressing alcove. Luiza Brunet was the Queen of the drums for Portela up until 1993.
She is well remembered for her distinguished career as the godmother, since 1994, for Imperatriz Leopoldinense, which was fortunate to participate in five Special Samba School titles: 1994, 1995, 1999, 2000 and 2001.

She did not participate in the Sambodromo Carnaval from 2005-2007  but returned to again be Queen of the drums for Imperatriz Leopoldinense in this carnival of 2008.

Born to humble beginnings amidst the grand natural surrounding of the Pantanal,
on May 24, 1962. One of 6 children born to Luiz da Silva, a farmer from
the  northeastern state of Ceará, and Alzira Botelho da Silva, a
homemaker from Rio de Janeiro
When she was 8 years old, she moved with her family to Rio, where she
lived in the suburb of Inhaúma. She had trouble adjusting to city life
and had to leave school early at 12 to help the family get by. Her
beauty attracted unwelcome attention among employers and she married her
first husband at 16, Gumercindo Brunet. The marriage became difficult as
Luiza's career took off and ended after 7 years.
Luiza Brunet became famous in the early 80s, as a model. She 
posed naked for several exclusive male magazines including He and She
and Playboy ( May of 1983, December 1984 and May 1986 ).
But in 1984, Luiza met Argentinean antique dealer Armando Fernandez,
with whom she is still married. On June 6, 1988, she had her first
daughter, Yasmin. .
She has been married since 1985 to the older Fernandez however as of

Yasmin and Anthony in 1997. Luiza Brunet has been a

The music industry is entering a brave new world this year, says Irish performing artist Ronan Keating.

Subscription music websites, the shrinking of traditional media and the rise of social networking sites are just some of the challenges forcing change on the industry, the judge of The X Factor says.

"It looks like that's the way it's going to go and it's scary and it's tough but you have to embrace it," the former Boyzone singer tells news media.

"Record companies made a big mistake [in] not embracing the internet when it first happened," he says.

TV shows such as The X Factor and Australian Idol play and important role in the biz he says.

"I think it's great … when the record companies are struggling and there's not enough money out there to go and discover people," he says.

"If you're an up-and-coming star and you want to do well, then a show like The X Factor is really important."

Keating is now looking to expand his horizons into the movie industry.

"I've gone to a lot of auditions over the year and I've just never been ready and I have never been good enough," he says. "[But] I feel over the last two years, I've grown into my skin and feel comfortable … to prove to people that I can act."

Last year he scored his first acting gig in the musical Goddess, due to be released this year.
Keating is ready for the hard yards ahead of him.

"It's harder for someone, like a singer, to prove they can be an actor because people immediately want to say, 'Oh, he's no good," Keating says. "Someone like Harry Connick jnr has totally established himself as an actor, probably more than a singer … Jon Bon Jovi has made some films along the way and he's done well."

Billy Ocean (born Leslie Sebastian Charles, 21 January 1950, Fyzabad, Trinidad) is a Grammy Award-winning British-based popular music performer who had a string of rhythm and blues-tinged international pop hits in the 1970s and 1980s. He was the main British-based R&B singer / songwriter of the 1980s. He waited seven years after scoring his first four UK top 20 successes, before accumulating a series of transatlantic successes, including three U.S. number ones.



Biography


He was born in Fyzabad, Trinidad and Tobago to Grenadian parents, and moved to England with his family at the age of eight. Oceans' musical influence came at an early age of his life, as his father was a musician, and realised he was inline to follow those ambitions as he was growing up. During his teenage years, he sang regularly in London clubs while also working as a tailor in London's Savile Row. He released his first single in 1972 on Spark Records as Les Charles.



When in Trinidad as a boy he adopted the name Billy Ocean, taking the surname from the local football team 'Ocean's Eleven', who had gotten the name from the famous film of the same name. The next year, 1976, was when he recorded his first album, Billy Ocean, with its first single release, "Love Really Hurts Without You," charting at number 2 in the UK Singles Chart and number 22 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. More successes ensued, including "L.O.D. (Love On Delivery)". He also wrote songs for other artists, such as La Toya Jackson. In 1981, he scored the U.S. R&B chart with "Nights (Feel Like Getting Down)".



Ocean's period of greatest success began with Suddenly during 1984, and its main single, "Caribbean Queen". The song's title and lyrics were changed for different regions, such that the song is also known as "African Queen" or "European Queen". The song won Ocean the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 1985 Grammy Awards. The album's title track also became a success, its score maximizing at #4 in both the US and the UK; and the song "Loverboy", while also being a #2 US success during 1985, from the album, was also the background music for the first scene of the popular UK BBC One TV series, Casualty, during 1986.



Ocean appeared at Live Aid in 1985, singing "Caribbean Queen" and "Loverboy", from the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.



His 1986 album Love Zone also sold well. It included the successful singles "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going" (the theme from the film The Jewel of the Nile); this was a number one success in the UK and a number two in the U.S.; and "There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)" (a U.S. number one, and also a major UK success). Also included were the title track and "Love Is Forever", which were #10 and #16 U.S. successes for Ocean, respectively.



In February 1986, Ocean's video of "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going" was banned by the BBC, owing to non-union members (including Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito) miming to backing vocals.

The State Theatre in the heart of Sydney presented Ronan Keating tonight - on this Australia Day.

We learn that Keating has quite a bit to say about the entertainment industry when he's not performing on stage or producing new records in a studio...

The music industry is entering a brave new world this year, says Irish performing artist Ronan Keating.

Subscription music websites, the shrinking of traditional media and the rise of social networking sites are just some of the challenges forcing change on the industry, the judge of The X Factor says.

"It looks like that's the way it's going to go and it's scary and it's tough but you have to embrace it," the former Boyzone singer tells news media.

"Record companies made a big mistake [in] not embracing the internet when it first happened," he says.

TV shows such as The X Factor and Australian Idol play and important role in the biz he says.

"I think it's great … when the record companies are struggling and there's not enough money out there to go and discover people," he says.

"If you're an up-and-coming star and you want to do well, then a show like The X Factor is really important."

Keating is now looking to expand his horizons into the movie industry.

"I've gone to a lot of auditions over the year and I've just never been ready and I have never been good enough," he says. "[But] I feel over the last two years, I've grown into my skin and feel comfortable … to prove to people that I can act."

Last year he scored his first acting gig in the musical Goddess, due to be released this year.
Keating is ready for the hard yards ahead of him.

"It's harder for someone, like a singer, to prove they can be an actor because people immediately want to say, 'Oh, he's no good," Keating says. "Someone like Harry Connick jnr has totally established himself as an actor, probably more than a singer … Jon Bon Jovi has made some films along the way and he's done well."

With a string of massively successful albums and singles played to this day like Runaway, So Young, Radio, Breathless - The Corrs have been a household name on every continent. “Music is what makes me tick“ says Sharon and true to that when The Corrs took time off to focus on their growing families, Sharon – while having her own 2 children - began to write and record her debut solo album ”Dream Of You“ released in 2010.

Bio of Ronan Keating

With those dazzling poster-boy looks, Ronan Keating became one of Europe's most endearing stars as the leader of the Irish boy band Boyzone. The five Irish lads in Boyzone, who made their debut in 1993, built their charismatic style into one of the biggest European pop/rock acts of the '90s. But before he was winning over the world, Keating was a middle-class kid living in Dublin. Born Ronan Patrick John Keating on March 3, 1977, he was the last of four children in the Keating household. His father, Gerry, was a pub owner and his mother, Marie, was a hairdresser, so financially the Keating family was trying to make ends meet.

The working trudge instilled the desire to work in the youngest Keating. While working in a local shoe store, he noticed a search advertisement for an Irish Take That. The 14-year-old beat out 300 hopefuls with his own rendition of the Cat Stevens song "Father and Son" and was headed toward becoming a celebrity. Boyzone released four albums, every one debuting at number one in the U.K. They released 16 singles, each one charting in the Top Three on the U.K. charts. Most notably, Americans will recognize this five-piece as the dashing young men singing behind U2's Bono in "The Sweetest Thing" video.

Six years into being part of one of the U.K.'s brightest and biggest-selling pop bands, Keating searched for an alternate creative outlet. He began managing another male pop group called Westlife. He married Irish model Yvonne Connelly in April 1998 and the following year they had a son, Jack. Musically, however, Keating's intentions stayed in tune with his internal spirit. He couldn't possibly steer clear of the media spotlight for long and something positive was bound to come of it. He recorded his debut solo effort in early 2000 under the craftsmanship of artists such as Bryan Adams and Barry Gibb. His sensual and childlike persona was full-fledged. He is a working songsmith with the utmost class, and counterparts like Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow might be considered a bit shy of such inborn grace. Ronan was issued overseas in mid-2000, and a U.S. version followed in October.

For 2002's Destination, Keating collaborated with songwriter and ex-New Radicals frontman Gregg Alexander. This album was another smash overseas with hit singles such as "I Love It When We Do" and "I've Got My Heart on You," yet it failed to see a release in the States. Two years later, Keating issued Turn It On. His rendition of Terence Trent D'Arby's "Let Her Down Easy" and songs co-written with Deacon Blue's Ricky Ross were featured in another mature set from the former boy band singer. 10 Years of Hits followed in 2005, and a year later Keating released the studio album Bring You Home. In 2009 Keating released the heartfelt tribute album Songs for My Mother, which was dedicated to his late mother, Marie, who had passed away from breast cancer in 1998. The Australian entertainment industries night of nights was certainly glamorous by Australian standards and delivered strongly in surprises and audience delight.

There were a ton of surprises and its safe to say that the organisers, including the Nine Network, got it right this year.

An emotional and gracious Karl Stefanovic, who won the Gold Logie, paid tribute to his wife Cass for "giving up a promising TV career of her own with the ABC to let me do this and look after our three beautiful kids."

The capacity crowd loved Karl's affectionate words for Network Nine boss David Gyngell -"He's probably at home, in his Homer Simpson undies, scratching himself or whatever he does, but mate, I love you as a boss and more importantly as a friend."

He also remembered his family saying he thanked his "mum for her beautiful soul" and his dad "for your male-pattern baldness, big guy."

The popular TV presenter - journalist disclosed that his mentor was Laurie Oakes: "The reason I am in this business and want to be for the rest of my life."

He had originally promised to stick to soda water, however he left stage with "I'm going to the bar."

Stefanovic threw into his entertaining speech that added he did not believe half of Australia would know who he was "if he wasn't pole-axed on Grey Goose vodka".

"I thought it was career-ending...but I survived it", he said.

"So yes I will probably have two dozen champagnes, a few vodkas and what not, but I will be right for the show in the morning."

On the success on the Today Show he shared: "We're risking things but we're both more confident...I've never been more confident in front of the camera, and I don't want that to sound arrogant, but that comes with the miles I've had on air."

The popular awards had the room talking. Asher Keddie of Ten's Offspring, bested Seven's Packed To The Rafters dynamos Gibney and Marais as Most Popular Actress. Another surprise of the TV Week sponsored event was Chrissie Swan of Channel Ten's morning chat show The Circle. She was voted Most Popular New Female Talent...ahead of prime-time personalities Emma Booth, Julie Goodwin, Poh Ling Yeow and Hannah Marshall.

Ten's MasterChef, one of the highest-rating series in Australian television, was nominated for just one award - Most Popular Reality Program - which it won.

Stefanovic also won Most Popular Presenter ahead of Hamish Blake, Adam Hills, Shaun Micallef and Swan.

Underbelly: The Golden Mile's Firass Dirani won Most Popular New Talent, however his show was beaten by Packed To The Rafters as the viewers' favourite drama.

Channel Nine got more acholades with Underbelly being judged Most Outstanding Drama, while the Most Outstanding Actor and Actress went to Richard Roxburgh (Rake, ABC) and Claire van der Boom (Sisters Of War, ABC).

The Australian entertainment industries night of nights was certainly glamorous by Australian standards and delivered strongly in surprises and audience delight.

There were a ton of surprises and its safe to say that the organisers, including the Nine Network, got it right this year.

An emotional and gracious Karl Stefanovic, who won the Gold Logie, paid tribute to his wife Cass for "giving up a promising TV career of her own with the ABC to let me do this and look after our three beautiful kids."

The capacity crowd loved Karl's affectionate words for Network Nine boss David Gyngell -"He's probably at home, in his Homer Simpson undies, scratching himself or whatever he does, but mate, I love you as a boss and more importantly as a friend."

He also remembered his family saying he thanked his "mum for her beautiful soul" and his dad "for your male-pattern baldness, big guy."

The popular TV presenter - journalist disclosed that his mentor was Laurie Oakes: "The reason I am in this business and want to be for the rest of my life."

He had originally promised to stick to soda water, however he left stage with "I'm going to the bar."

Stefanovic threw into his entertaining speech that added he did not believe half of Australia would know who he was "if he wasn't pole-axed on Grey Goose vodka".

"I thought it was career-ending...but I survived it", he said.

"So yes I will probably have two dozen champagnes, a few vodkas and what not, but I will be right for the show in the morning."

On the success on the Today Show he shared: "We're risking things but we're both more confident...I've never been more confident in front of the camera, and I don't want that to sound arrogant, but that comes with the miles I've had on air."
